Meet Christine

Christine Pierce

CEO & Practitioner/Educator

Hi - this is me… I’m a lifelong energy healer & educator with a passion for creating accessible, engaging classes and learning experiences. Known for a passionate, encouraging teaching style, I believe growth happens when we address the issue and create a different relationship with the “pain,” whether that pain may be physical or emotional.

Beginning early on, I read every book I could get my hands on in high school and attuned to Usui lineage Reiki during her time in the ARMY.

After my tour was over, I used my GI Bill for Massage School at Sawyer College for Clinical Massage Therapy and then completed my Bachelor of Science in Management.

After an incredible side-tracked path with BP & Honeywell Aerospace as their Records & Information Manager, I found myself again and then found SWIHA, an incredible school in Tempe, AZ where I lived at the time. (Southwest Institute of Healing Arts)

I went for a Thai Massage and liked it so much I enrolled to learn it. From there I was hooked again and took every class for Polarity, Thai, & Cranial I could - every weekend and most mid-weeks were taken up with core and advanced classes, having to choose between the amazing classes to finish in one designation before moving, which ended up being Polarity Therapy. I took Cranial classes I wouldn’t even be able to attend the full class just to get the information from the instructor because I knew I’d never have the opportunity again such as the 5-pointed star.

I had sold my house and had idle money and my dream school, so I happily spent THOUSANDS and thankfully, came out with no debt.

After graduating, I spent some time at Arcosanti and lived in an underground house built by Paulo Solari at Cosanti in Scottsdale, learning to build with concrete at a group community, which was incredible. Look up the Arcosanti bells…

I’ve spent time in Hawaii a lot, the last sabbatical lasting almost a year - living homeless on the beach on purpose, living a wonderful, relaxed existence. I also learned to work with bees there and have taught many others to love them, in turn.

I’ve opened Unwind twice now, once downtown in Hobart, and again in Hobart, but this time within the fitness gym, Chicago Health & Fitness. It’s going great so far, and I hope to see you there!
