Unwinding - Your Own, Personal Yoga
Learn what your body is trying to tell you with this unique offering. What starts out as simple stretching, quickly transforms into a one-on-one journey where you learn to move into the rhythm of your own body. You will feel yourself twisting and turning as you, “unwind” your body and old traumas that have been stored in the connective tissue there. One person’s flow will be completely different from another’s, and one day’s journey will be completely different from another’s. As the classes build and develop, we will begin to incorporate various techniques, such as somatic release and energy exercises.
This can change your entire physical & emotional being and becomes a prized asset for gaining ROM and releasing fascia & connective tissue. This is deep knowledge you will be tapping into.

First you will learn to play the “tools,” the instruments. Quickly learn the basics of how to play the gong, singing bowls, tuning forks, and others without annoying the person next to you. Quick & easy instruction goes a long way and then you take turns being on the table for a mini session, while the rest of the group plays an instrument while you’re on the table.
Usually by the 3rd person, everyone hits their groove, and it becomes a magical experience for everyone involved.

Learn easy movements to bring you (and your family) back to normal within a minute or two. Simple exercises help move excess energy through the body in a productive, non-destructive way.
Physical exertion plus visualization becomes a cathartic release. And frustrated children have so much trapped inside their tiny little bodies, these are some good coping techniques.

Helps you to move into your own body. Find your own internal rhythms and currents and allow it to move through you.
Embody different elements and notice how different each one feels. Watery rhythms create calm, slow movements while fiery beats evoke heat, energy and passion. The journey is collective, yet completely solo.

A quick escape or long lunch.
Twangy, oriental music, beautiful flutes in rainstorms, or my favorite handpan melody of the week will most likely be the theme.
Dim, dancing lights and incense will be present. Roll out your yoga mat and pillow and rest for a power nap.

Great class for couples & caregivers. Partnered class where you learn easy moves to help at-home care and rehabilitation assistance to those who need it or want to be a better partner.
You will learn how to better connect and communicate, while learning easy moves and controlled shoving, to deliver your healing touch.

You will get to cross the line (via my assistance) to feel what it feels like under your feet, without the adrenaline of having to save your own life.

Why work out when you can just have fun?! We will not be lighting anything on fire unless the class is held outside…
But you can still get a taste and the feel of the weight and flow without it - and you should. You don’t just pick up the fire and fling it around when you first get your toys… Truth be told you don’t typically try out new moves with it lit until you feel pretty confident anyways.
I can help you learn some moves with the fire poi, but I prefer the fire dart - that’s my jam.
